A Few Lunch Program Spots Still Open – Including Yoga!

Our Tuesday Lunch Program, Yoga by In the Mix, still has several open spots and it looks like an amazing program! Please see below for more information including financial help.

IN THE MIX YOGA & MINDFULNESS, Grades 4-6 (Community Room A/B) – $105

This specialized kids’ program intertwines the foundation of the Yoga practice with stories, music and props with great emphasis on health awareness, self-confidence, compassion and tolerance for others. We also help children find relaxation through techniques involving understanding their own breath, and developing a better awareness of their own bodies.

If the cost of this program is a barrier to your child’s attendance, please reach out to Tracey Novachko (tracy.novachko@tdsb.on.ca) or Olga Ellis (olga.ellis@tdsb.on.ca). The vendor wants to offer this program to everyone and will work with us to provide a number of subsidized spots.

 

Other lunch programs that still have a limited number of open spots are:

CODEZILLA KIDS, TECH TOYS, Grades 1-3 (Library) – $136

Children play with a variety of award-winning tech toys, apps and robots that introduce them to early computational thinking and Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) in a fun and stimulating way. Toys are specially chosen for their wide appeal and educational enrichment.

CHESS, Grades 1-6 (room 1010) – $140 

Students build their chess skills during weekly lunch-hour sessions, with lessons, activities and play. CIC instructors are carefully selected and trained to provide an engaging learning environment, facilitating insights and building life skills such as decision making, goal setting, emotional intelligence, and respect for others.  See flyer for details Chess Flyer.
