Pardon our confusion, Frankland Parents! Please note that there are two excellent skating parties this month:
The Withrow Skating Party, February 10 2017 (as per our original post) and the Frankland Skating Party, February 24 2017.
Thank you, and sorry for the confusion.
We’re just so excited about skating!
On Tuesday at Frankland, we will celebrate that we are Proud as individuals and proud of the diverse community, city and country we live in. We are inviting children by grade to wear to school colours that represent the rainbow and have invited students in specific grades to wear specific colours, as follows:
Kindergarten- purple or shades of purple
Grade 1- blue or shades of blue
Grade 2- green or shades of green
Grade 3- yellow or shades of yellow
Grade 4- orange or shades of orange
Grade 5 and 6 red or shades of red
We hope that you will support your child to participate and also invite you to join us in the school yard between 2pm and 3pm to participate in some fun, hear some music and maybe dance a little.
The planning has begun for one of Frankland’s most anticipated event of the year – the Fun Fair! Save the date – May 31st!
Team Fun Fair needs YOU!
It is because of our AWESOME parents that Frankland’s Fun Fair is a smashing success every year. Thank you so much for all your hard work. This year we have some openings on our planning committee. Without volunteers we can’t have as many great activities for our kids, so come join Team Fun Fair and make this year’s fair the best ever!
Advertise your business
There are also opportunities to sponsor the Fun Fair, which will help offset the costs associated with things like the bouncy castles, printing costs, etc. Your business name and logo will be featured on prominent signs at the fair, on our parent blog and you will receive a tax receipt. You need only to donate a cash or cheque donation towards the fun fair and we will take care of the rest. This is a great way to promote your services to our Frankland community!
We want your used books!
Do you have used books that you don’t know what to do with? Pack them up and drop them off in the school office! They will be added to our used book sale at the Fun Fair. All proceeds will go to our very own Frankland Library. And what’s left over will be donated to Regent Park’s Children’s Book Bank and Frankland Community Centre’s Stay ‘n’ Play program.
